Saleroom Addendum

Please note that further information has recently come to light regarding the history of this vehicle, confirming that it was not driven by Rodger Ward as stated in the catalogue. According to noted Indy Car enthusiast Jim Mann, this Kurtis Kraft was sold in the mid-1970s to Jim Giganti by collector Jim Etter as a bare frame with dash panel. While this chassis was apparently known by Mann, Etter, and Giganti to be an ex-Sumar Racing car, Giganti chose to restore it as the 1956 Filter Queen Special. The work was carried out by Jerry Weeks, as stated in the published catalogue. Please contact a Specialist with any questions. Please also note that the estimate has been revised to $125,000 - $175,000.
